Free Treats for Voting

October 30, 2008

Ben & Jerry’s is giving out free scoops on Election Day from 5pm-8pm.

And Krispy Kreme is giving out free star-shaped donuts as well! Yay… voting! I’m excited that it’s my first time voting in NY – I’m officially a resident now. Apparently there’s some sort of big level to pull, and all!

UPDATE: Starbucks is giving free coffe out too — just picked up my cup.

UPDATE AGAIN: Apparently there’s also free Sangria at Boqueria!

Coffee Bean Giveaway

October 8, 2008

The lovely people behind The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf  are celebrating their 45th anniversary this month and in honor of this milestone, they’re giving away $5 dollar gift cards! The card can be used to purchase any handcrafted beverage or retail item. If there isn’t a Coffee Bean in your area, use it online to purchase things like coffees, teas and Ice Blended kits! So… there’s not a Coffee Bean in my area – which I’m bummed about. But I’m giving away 3 $5 gift cards to YOU LUCK READERS anyways. So just leave a comment below before Wednesday, October 15 (9am EST),  and I’ll pick the winners. Announced next Wednesday. Good luck!

UPDATE: Gina, Lis, and Jessy — you were the only 3 to comment, so YOU WIN! Email me your mailing address and thanks again!

There are 2 insanely incredible FREE giveaways going on this week, just in time for the holidays. First, of course, over at GoodyBlog we’re have a giant Blog Party and giving away everything from kids’ toys and clothes to new Play Station systems. But, the image above is the one I really wish I could win: a box full of goodies from Williams-Sonoma. I organized this one, so I’ve seen the products first-hand and everything is so beautiful and fun. I beg you to enter since I’m not allowed 😦 There’s also a fabulous one from Gourmet Garden, where you can win their entire line of spices plus an 8-piece stainless steel cookware set. Merry Christmas to you!

Next is this awesome giveaway from YumSugar and Hostess with the Mostess. I can’t even begin to list all the amazing kitchen goods that they’re giving away b/c there are just too many, but let me just say that it’s worth more than $7,900 in prizes. Wowzer! You have to login and take a quiz to enter (which I scored 100% on, thank you very much), but it’s definitely worth it! So start entering and let me know if there are any other good holiday giveaways I’m missing!

And then deep fry it if you’re really a badass! Serious Eats is giving away one turkey a day until (and including) Sunday, Nov. 18. I don’t know why I want to win this so badly, but I do. I want that turkey! They’re giving away a D’Artagnan certified organic bird that’s fed organic grains and pure spring water—no protein supplements, added poultry or fish byproducts, pesticides or herbicides. Additionally no antibiotics, no growth hormones. “The result is a poultry with great flavor, tenderness, and a 25 percent lower fat content than standard commercially raised turkey,” says S.E. Come on baby—momma needs a new turkey.
