Jeffrey Chodrow Releases Wild Salmon

Eater confirmed this week that Wild Salmon, the Jefferey Chodorow restaurant featuring all Pacific Northwest cuisine and ingredients, is closing. I must say, I’m not surprised. J and I ate there during Restaurant Week this summer, and we couldn’t have been less impressed—by the food, by the design, and by the staff. Now, I’ll admit—we’re not exactly used to the posh Midtown restaurant scene surrounded by businessmen eating dinner, but we at least expected an impeccable meal. I even ordered the salmon to make sure my dinner was good. But, I can honestly cook salmon better than I received. I know a lot of restaurants don’t serve their A-game when it’s Restaurant Week, but we were so disappointed. You hear that Chodorow? You disappointed me! Still… for every Chodorow restaurant that fails, another 5 spring up successfully to take it’s place. So, let’s wait and see what he does next.
