The lovely people behind The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf are celebrating their 45th anniversary this month and in honor of this milestone, they’re giving away $5 dollar gift cards! The card can be used to purchase any handcrafted beverage or retail item. If there isn’t a Coffee Bean in your area, use it online to purchase things like coffees, teas and Ice Blended kits! So… there’s not a Coffee Bean in my area - which I’m bummed about. But I’m giving away 3 $5 gift cards to YOU LUCK READERS anyways. So just leave a comment below before Wednesday, October 15 (9am EST), and I’ll pick the winners. Announced next Wednesday. Good luck!

Get Thee to a Starbucks
April 8, 2008Free coffee today at 7,000 Starbucks stores to celebrate their introduction of the new Pike Place blend, named after the place where the first store was located. Also, if you’re near Bryant Park, there’s apparently a faux-Starbucks store set up where you can grab free bags of the new beans.

Give Me Coffee!
March 10, 2008
I thought this was appropriate for this morning - the first since the dreaded spring-ahead Daylight Savings Time. Very funny coffee ads that made me chuckle this very-tired morning.

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
November 15, 2007I know we’re getting close to the holidays because I just drank my first Gingerbread Latte from Starbucks. (I know, Starbucks is the devil… yada yada.) But this drink, to me, tastes like Xmas in a cup—warm, comforting, and just a hint of my favorite Xmas flavors. I even get it with whipped cream on top—how scandalous, I know. If you really hate Starbucks, here’s a recipe to make your own.
Sidenote: I also spilled this all down the front of my cute dress. Score.
